Hearty Polpette ($12) had robust flavor from grass-fed beef. Roasted Cauliflower ($10) came with a tangy-creamy Parmesan sauce, but the promised toasted hazelnuts were few and far between.

Overall, Benvenuti does a good job of retaining what made Salvatore a favorite for years, and finding ways to tweak tradition for a new generation of diners.
