A Menlo Park fitness instructor is offering free classes to young adults aged 16-21 for the rest of the year. Meredith Ozbil, who runs a franchise of Jazzercise Inc. in Menlo Park, is taking part in GirlForce, an initiative launched late last year by Judi Sheppard-Missett, who created Jazzercise in 1969. There are more than 8,300 Jazzercise franchises worldwide, Ozbil said, and the aim of the initiative is to empower young women by giving them a safe space and a fun way to stay fit. Sheppard-Missett got the idea after attending the United State of Women Summit last summer at the White House.
